Manufacture

Operating out of modern and wholly owned premises of 1,100 square meters on a manufacturing site of 5,600 square meters, Warehouse and Industrial Development has the capacity to produce fabrications and pressed/sheared components to a high degree of accuracy in short lead times. Substantial investment in new equipment has enabled the company to produce more components in-house. With mezzanine floors for example, everything is produced by Warehouse and Industrial Developments Ltd including purlins, staircases, handrails, fire protective column casings and the main structural steelwork.

For the customer, this means that the job is delivered to site in one lot, resulting in less delays and a faster installation time.

General Fabrication: Welding to BS5135 in MIG, TIG and Electric Arc in mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloys and cast. Fabrications of up to 10 tonne single item can be catered for.

Robotic Welding: Robotic welding of repetition parts such as cantilever rack arms and handrail components results in economically produced components of consistent quality.

Shearing: Up to 6mm thick x 4.0m long or up to 20mm thick x 600mm long.

Folding: Up to 6mm thick x 4.0m long in mild steel or up to 10mm thick x 3.0m Long. CNC Pressbrakes are used as well as 2 No mechanical brakes. Light materials (flashing etc) can also be folded - up to 1.5mm thick x 4.0m.

Punching: Three number Steelworkers up to 100 tonne capacity allows holes of up to 40mm in diameter to be punched in mild steel up to 25mm in thickness. these machines also offer capacity for cropping round, square and flat bar and notching and mitring.
Universal beam and column sections can also be punched using multiple head punching machines designed and build by Warehouse and Industrial Developments Ltd.

Cutting: Hydraulic cold sawing and semi-automatic band saws allow sections of up to 600 x 450mm to be square cut or mitred.

Finishing: A Large spray shop allows the largest fabricated items to be painted using airless air assisted equipment.
