Mezzanine Floors
Warehouse and Industrial Developments Ltd has been involved in the design
and manufacture of mezzanine structures since its incorporation in 1985.
Current legislation and recommendations are regularly monitored to ensure
that all structures comply with Local Authority requirements.
Uses: Platforms are designed and manufactured for
a variety of uses including:

- storage

The Steelwork Grid: is designed to suit the existing
building layout and also to suit future use underneath. Loadings are
determined following discussions with the customer and evaluation of
goods to be stored and/or traffic on the platform
Decking: various decking options are available the
most common of which are:
- 38mm high density particle board
- plywood
- durbar plate steel sheet
- open steel
A variety of finishes can be offered on all of the above including
Phenolic Resin coatings and lacquers on the board finishes and various
paint options or galvanised on the steel products.
Floor Height: Almost any height of floor can be catered
for within reason and the constraints of the building into which it
is being installed. The most popular height is 3.0m finished floor level
which allows useful headroom above and below in most standard industrial
buildings.
Double Deck and Triple Deck Floors: Warehouse and
industrial developments Ltd has successfully completed a number of double
and triple deck floors around the country. Where the building can accommodate
it, this results in very economical use of existing space.
Staircases and Handrails: Staircases and handrails
as required for the particular application are manufactured to comply
with Local Authority requirements and to suite the floor layout and
customer needs. Warehouse and Industrial Developments Ltd can produce
any staircase from a single flight to multi-flights to spirals.
