Warehouse and Industrial Developments Ltd. manufactures fire retardant column casings up to 4050mm in one length. Longer lengths can be catered for by joining with an internal butt strap.

Casings are manufactured from 0.6mm steel in either galvanized, painted or powder coated finishes. The casing and clip-on lid are lined with Pilkington Rocksil Firetech 160m a resin-bonded rockwool slab material manufactured by Pilkington Insulation Ltd. The materials have been tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 21 1987, at the Loss Prevention Council and have given up to 3 hours protection to structural steelwork and have been assessed by the B.R.E. Fire Research Station.

Finishes:

Galvanized for standard industrial applications. Polyester paint finish (usually white) with protective finishes most office/retail applications. Powder coated, if required to suit a particular application or compliment other components.

Casings:

Can be manufactured to suit any shape or size of column including, square, rectangular round or multi-sized.

Fire Retardant Fascia:

Manufactured in the same way as column casings, our fascia offers a fast & much more durable method of finishing bulkheads between mezzanine floors & ceiling lines. The fascia is simply fixed over the board edge & screwed down and provides a return lip for the ceiling grid to be fixed directly into. Butt straps and corner flashings are supplied free of charge with all orders.

Fire Rated Suspended Ceilings:
